Berlim na junção do Passado com o Futuro

Hallo a todos!Tanto tempo que já lá vai desde o último post…o tempo tem sido curto para me sentar à secretária e escrever.
Agora, numa onda de calmaria, depois de 3 fins-de-semana em constante andança, recosto-me na cadeira do meu quarto a ouvir o bater da chuva na janela recordando estas cidades.
A primeira aventura começou com um ‘pulo’ até Alemanha.
Juntamente com a Martha e a Vicky (duas ‘british girls’) fomos até Berlim com o pressuposto de irmos a um concerto dos Mogway. Apesar de desconhecer, até então, esta banda não perdi a oportunidade de fazer uma viagem de 6 ‘horitas’ até uma das mais impressionantes capitais europeias.
Dizer que a cidade é enorme, é uma expressão comum a toda a gente que a visita. Basta apenas olhar para o mapa do metro e ficasse com a impressão que estamos a observar um arco-íris com uma infinidade de cores!
Chegámos à cidade sem quaisquer planos do que queríamos ver ou visitar. Mas ‘num piscar d’olhos descobrimos o ouro’. Fomos até um Dunkin' Donuts e vimos um pequeno livro dizendo, “Free Tour in Berlin”. Exactamente o que procurávamos. Conhecer os pontos mais atractivos da cidade e de preferência com poucos gastos.
Foi a melhor forma de conhecer a cidade. Começamos pela ‘The Brandenbur
g Gate’, que se tornou num marco por todos as forças que conquistaram a cidade no passado. Primeiro por Napoleão em 1806, depois pelas formas Nazis quando tomaram o permaneceu fechada desde a construção do ‘Muro’ em 1861 até à sua queda a 22 de Dezembro de 1989 quando o Chanceler Helmut Kohl da Alemanha Federal Alemã (Alemanha Ocidental) juntamente com o primeiro ministro da República Democrática Alemã (Alemanha Oriental) Hans Modrow atravessaram a porta tornando a ‘Brandenburg Gate’ num símbolo de unificação da nação alemã.
Passando a porta, à esquerda deparamo-nos com um memorial em homenagem a todos os judeus que foram assassinados durante a 2ª Guerra Mundial. Consiste num espaço sem qualquer identificação com inúmero blocos de pedra de diferentes tamanhos e formas simbolizando homens, mulheres e crianças que perderam a vida às mãos do exército nazi perante a estoicidade do resto do mundo!Seguindo o percurso sob a orientação do nosso guia neozelandês, sempre emotivo, o Mike, dirigimo-nos para um dos pontos da cidade mais procurados pelos turistas. O bunker onde Hitler passou os últimos dias da sua vida e onde se casou com Eva Braun. Se alguém vos disser que visitou ou sequer viu este bunker poderão dizer que esse alguém andou por outro lado que não Berlim, pois o bunker está a 60metro de profundidade não existindo qualquer intenção por parte das autoridades alemãs para o tornarem num marco turístico, receando possíveis futuras manifestações de grupos de extrema-direita.
Continuando o nosso percurso, seguimos para o famoso ‘ponto Charlie’, um dos três pontos de controlo entre a Alemanha de Ocidental e Oriental, sendo reconhecido durante o período da Guerra-fria, pelos cidadãos Alemães de Leste como sendo a sua porta para a liberdade com o quartel da CIA bem junto de si.
Finalizámos a nossa excursão indo até ao parque em frente da deslumbrante catedral de Berlim (Berliner Dom) junto da Ilha dos Museus onde podemos encontrar o novo e velho museu juntamente com o museu Purgatório, existindo um grande plano para modificar toda esta zona.Mas uma visita a Berlim não pode ser feita sem visitarmos o Reichstag, onde é o actualmente parlamento federal alemão (Bundestag). Pela vista vislumbrante de toda a cidade que este edifício oferece a partir do topo, poderia ser suficiente para o visitar, mas sabendo que foi aqui por via de um incêndio provocado (mas não provado) pelos nazis nesta câmara de forma a gerar o pânico junto do então presidente Paul Von Hindenburg que acabou por, mais tarde, conceder o poder máximo a Hitler para dar início, em 1933, ao Terceiro Império (Drittes Reich).
Falar em Berlim é falar no Muro. Um símbolo que dividiu a europa durante 28 anos (1961-1989). Pela cidade o muro apenas está presente por uma linha que atravessa Berlim identificando o exacto local onde estava presente. Existindo ainda um pedaço de 1.3km do muro onde estão inscritas várias frases que remontam o período da sua existência e posterior destruição mostrando a vontade de mudar o rumo da história.
Mas esta visita a Berlim, centro da história europeia, não ficaria completa não visitando o símbolo do momento no mundo do futebol. O Olympiastadion, que para além de ter sido o marco dos Jogos Olímpicos de 1939 é hoje, o marco onde todas as selecções de futebol querem jogar no dia 9 de Julho pelas 15h a final do Mundial de Futebol de 2006. Esperemos que estejamos lá!!!!!
Uma cidade fascinante, onde o passado se cruza com o presente a uma velocidade estrondosa. Em cada praça vislumbra-se a construção da história europeia mas também o futuro do velho continente. Uma capital em constante agitação.
